Dundrum Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic is owned and run by Marguerite Quinn, a fully qualified and chartered
physiotherapist with over 20 years experience in both NHS and private practice. Until October 2011 Marguerite also worked in the Downe Hospital, where she was the most senior physiotherapist in
the Outpatients department and was the first in the Downe to practice Injection Therapy, a treatment previously only provided by Consultants.
Marguerite's considerable experience means that the practice is ideally placed to deal with a wide range of conditions including sports injuries, rehabilitation, back pain and sciatica. The
practice treats a wide range of patients ranging from experienced runners and cyclists though to minors and the elderly.
No referral is needed for an appointment and anyone can call to see if physiotherapy may be appropriate and arrange an appointment. Appointment times are flexible and payment can be by cash or
cheque.

Initial appointments last for a full hour and include a comprehensive investigation of the current problem details along with capture of all relevant medical history. This ensures that the
problem is correctly assessed and the most suitable treatment schedule created. Where appropriate this will also include an initial treatment session.
Treatments may include a variety of techniques including manual therapy, ultrasound and accupuncture. The practice was also the first in South Down to offer the Sarah Key technique, a specialist
approach to back care that involves treatment being applied by feet rather than hands and has gained a high profile celebrity following. There is also a strong emphasis on creating exercise
programs to allow clients to manage their ongoing progress.
Marguerite is registered with the Chartered Society Of Physiotherapy and the Health Professionals Council.
The ethos of the pracice is to resolve the problem not just treat the symptoms and this is achieved through a primarily hands-on treatment approach.
