Marguerite graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of the West of England in 1998. She has over 20 years experience as a Senior physiotherapist
in a number of NHS hospitals in Northern Ireland, as well as within private practice. During this time Marguerite has specialised in musculo-skeletal
physiotherapy.
Marguerite left the Downe Hospital in October 2011, at which point she was the most senior physiotherapist in the core Outpatients Department of the Downe Hospital and the first to
be qualified to use Injection Therapy, a skill previously only used by consultants and GPs.
Marguerite is registered with the Health Professionals Council and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. Additionally, Marguerite is also an
Advanced Member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and a Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection
Therapy.
Within her Private Practice, Marguerite has kept abreast of the latest physio techniques. She was the first physio in South Down to offer the Sarah Key Method, a specialist technique
for back pain that includes the physio applying treatment with their feet. Marguerite has attended courses on cycling and athletics and she continues to extend her general and sports-specific physio
knowledge.
Dundrum Physio has a wide range of clients ranging from experienced athletes from many disciplines through to children and the elderly. The practice provides treatment for a wide
range of conditions including sports injuries, back pain, sciatica, aches and sprains, arthritis and rehabilitation. The treatments offered include Manual Therapy, Acupuncture, Electrotherapy and
Sarah Keys.
Marguerite is an active member of East Down Athletics Club and has completed the London and Dublin marathons and over 60 half marathons, including The Great North Run.
